The electric range of the Mini Countryman Plug-in Hybrid is between 29.2 and 31.7 miles, according to Car Magazine. Whilst this is not the biggest range of a hybrid car we have ever seen, it is ideal for those who drive in cities and do not want to pay charges for using fuel cars, in this way it shares similarities with the Volkswagen Tiguan.

Toyota Prius

This is the second Toyota we have mentioned on our list, Toyota was one of the first car manufacturers in the world to promote the use of hybrid vehicles, so of course, another Hybrid Toyota deserves to be on this list.

The Hybrid Toyota Prius is a slightly bigger car than the Toyota Corolla, making it seem like a more mature car. The range of the Toyota Prius is also slightly more generous than the range of the Toyota Corolla, with the Prius you can expect to get up to 34 miles on the electric transmission, which could be someone’s daily commute to and from work.

The special features of the hybrid Toyota Prius are:

• Road sign assist- the computer in the car tells you the road signs, so you will be aware of the road signs, this could stop you from missing important road signs.
• Pre-collision system which detects pedestrians- this is a really important safety feature, especially as electric cars are much quieter than fuel cars, so this could save someone’s life!
• Automatic high beam- so you do not have to switch your high beams on and off, the car does it for you.
• Lane detection- it does not let you leave your lane if it is not safe to do so.
